Property Control Building
The department of Property Control is required to create, maintain, and report to Central Management Services (CMS) records of all real and durable personal property of Illinois State University.
The Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives is the official repository for selected materials that document the history of the university and all aspects of university life.
The Illinois Regional Archives Depository (IRAD) houses birth, marriage, death, deed, probate, and tax records for fourteen nearby counties.

The Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives at Illinois State University is the official
repository for selected materials that document the history of the university and
all aspects of university life. This department collects, preserves, and makes
accessible these materials to support Milner Library and the ISU community's
research and teaching goals. The University Archives was recognized in 1970 as
the official repository of University records that have enduring value. In 2010 it
was renamed to honor former archivist Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield for her years of
service.

In participation with the State Archives of Illinois, Illinois State University hosts an arm of the Illinois Regional Archives Depository (IRAD). IRAD houses birth, marriage, death, deed, probate, and tax records for fourteen nearby counties, namely Champaign, DeWitt, Fort, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, Logan, Marshall, McLean, Piatt, Tazwell, Vermilion, and Woodford.
