The Gregory Street Property resides on a 250-acre area which currently maintains crop production and three instructional laboratories: the Crops of the World Demonstration Plot, the Horticulture Green House and Teaching/Demonstration Gardens, and the Aquaculture Facility.
Recently, Illinois State University acquired land near Lexington, Illinois in order to relocate certain activities, such as all operations involving large animals. With relocation of these activities, the remainder of the Gregory Street Property is being preserved in anticipation of future University development and expansion.
