University Farm

Illinois State University maintains a university farm to support research and outreach activities of the Department of Agriculture. Even though most of today's students won't be farm owners, hands-on-farming experience is an important part of their education and preparation for careers that directly relate to the production sector of agriculture.

Prior to 1962, the University Farm was located where University High School now sits. The Aquaculture Building has been on the University Farm since 1989. The University Farm at Lexington was dedicated in June of 2002.

The University Farm is located approximately 15 minutes from the Illinois State University campus in Lexington, Illinois.
