The Bone Student Center serves as the "Gateway to Campus" and the hub of campus activities. Included in the Center are the Cage II coffee shop, McAllister's Deli, Burger King, and Pizza Hut. A TicketMaster Box Office outlet, ISU Credit Union, TechZone, Redbird Card Office, PIP Printing, a convenience store, and the Illinois State University Bookstore in partnership with Barnes and Noble, are also in the Center. Adjacent to the Center is the Bowling and Billiards Center and a 500-space parking lot. Braden Auditorium is connected to the Bone Student Center and seats 3,457. It offers premier entertainment for the University and the community.

The Brown Ballroom is one of the largest rooms in the Bone Student Center. With a large stage, theatrical lighting, large screen, and tile floor surface, it's perfect for large seminars, banquets, wedding receptions, bridal shows, concerts, and other large events. For your convenience, a double door entrance is also available to haul large equipment or even small vehicles.

The Circus Room has the unique ambiance of an old fashioned 3-ring circus. Three large rings of lights line the ceiling and cast warmth on the circus memorabilia that decorate this extraordinary meeting room. Named in honor of the founders of Illinois State University, this suite is private and comfortable. It is comprised of a welcome foyer with coat closet, ornate lounge area and a private meeting room. The Spotlight Room provides the perfect atmosphere for productivity. The fully carpeted space provides a white board and can be set-up as a hollow square for 30 people or can be converted to audience style seating for 50 people. The room is decorated with posters from past Braden Auditorium events.

The Bone Student Center/Braden Auditorium serves as the Gateway to Campus. Named after Robert G. Bone, President of Illinois State University from 1956-67, whom many say knew every student's name on campus. In 1973, the Illinois State University Union and Auditorium was constructed. During the University's 125th Anniversary Celebration in February of 1982, the facility was renamed the Bone Student Center/Braden Auditorium. Honoring Dr. and Mrs. Robert Bone (President 1960-1967) and Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Braden (President 1967-1970). Bone Student Center/Braden Auditorium stand as a reminder of their dedication and commitment to the University's students.
